Drawing parallels to the Massachusetts State Police drug lab scandals, defense attorneys across the Commonwealth argue that misconduct by the Office of Alcohol Testing should result in the blanket dismissal of convictions and admissions of all defendants with failed breath test results on the Dräger Alcotest 9510 machines between June 2011 and April 18, 2019.
The state's Supreme Judicial court is scheduled to hear arguments from both sides on December 7, 2022, in the case of Commonwealth v. Hallinan.
